Mark Bunton


Mark has served his community in retail pharmacy for the last 22 years in
multiple locations. He is currently a Senior Advisor of Professional
Pharmacy Practice for Division 5. He supports 615 CVS stores with
Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Professional Ethics, and Control Substance
concerns. He was previously a CVS Pharmacy Supervisor in the Lafayette
district overseeing 20 CVS pharmacies. He has been a preceptor to over 200
pharmacists over the last 19 years. Mark’s CV also includes time at the IU
Medical center, nuclear and independent pharmacy.
Mark graduated from Purdue University in May of 1995 with a bachelor
degree in pharmacy. He is a Past President of the Purdue Pharmacy Alumni
Association. Mark has been a member of the Board of Directors for House
of Kids Daycare, Inc. for 30 years. He coaches the 7/8 th grade basketball
team for St. James Lutheran Church. Mark is a member of the Board of
Directors for Theta Chapter of Theta Xi fraternity at Purdue University.
Mark also owns JBL Properties and is a partner in PackLine Properties. In
July of 2014 Mark had the honor to coach the 11U Lafayette Lightening
baseball team in the PONY World Series in Chesterfield, VA.
Mark has been married for 23 years and his wife Brenda is a Veterinarian
(Purdue 2000) at Paw Prints animal hospital. He has two sons Jacob age 15
and Ben age 12 that love sports. Mark also has a 9 year old daughter that
runs the house! The Bunton family also includes one dog, two steers, and
many barn cats. In his free time Mark enjoys investing, coaching youth
sports, traveling, fishing and hunting, playing poker, watching Purdue
athletics, and spending time with his family.
Mark was initiated into Theta Chapter in the spring of 1990 and met his wife
at his initiation party that evening. He continues to interact with several
brothers from my time at Theta and has several great memories of his time at
Purdue with Theta Chapter.
